Hi-Def Coatings is a full service powder coating shop serving customers both locally and across the country. Our 8′ x 8′ x 12′ oven allows us to coat a wide range of part sizes. With chemical stripping, pretreating, and sandblasting capabilities, we are ready to tackle almost any project.
Powder coating creates a hard, flexible finish that is much tougher than conventional paint. Common powder coated items include patio furniture, car parts/frames, ATV and motorcycle parts and frames, wheels, rims, wrought iron railing and fencing, gliders, and more.
Powder coating comes in a vast array of not only colors, but textures and gloss levels as well. We work closely with PPG for the majority of our powders, and also utilize Prismatic Powder for more decorative and metallic finishes.
As an alternative to powder coating, or where tight tolerances must be maintained, we are proud to offer KG 2400 Series Gun Kote. The 2400 Series Gun Kote is a hard, abrasion resistant coating which meets and exceeds all military and aerospace specifications for protective coatings.
It is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity, heat dissipation, chemical and corrosion resistance, durability, and scratch resistance. The cured coating will not attract dirt or debris.
For parts that are sensitive to heat, we also offer KG 1200 Series Air Cure. This coating produces a hard but flexible layer and is perfect for all plastics, rubber, and other delicate materials that cannot be subjected to the high temperatures of typical curing processes.
Hi-Def Coatings is home to the patent-pending ImageLockTM process, which utilizes the best base coatings available to create the highest quality and best looking finishes for your products.
ImageLockTM embeds a 1440 DPI high resolution image directly into your plastic parts or into one of our preferred exclusive base coatings, chosen to best match the properties and tolerance requirements of your parts.
ImageLockTM was designed to bring true high definition finishes to the outdoor industry, where hydrographics and low resolution dye-sublimation has reigned for too long.
Set your products ahead, both visually and reliably, with ImageLockTM.
Hi-Def Composite Stripper was developed specifically as way to strip powder coating from composite limbs without damaging the material.
Our exclusive room-temperature stripper removes polyester and acrylic powder coatings in approximately 30 minutes and eliminates the need for sanding.
Independent testing shows no damage to composite materials up to and exceeding 48 hours of submersion at room temperature. It can also be used as an alternative to dangerous powder coat stripping acids.
Hi-Def Composite Stripper is simply deactivated by water.
